Amino Acids
Amino acids are chemical units or building blocks that make up proteins. They are also the end product of protein digestion. [1]
Proteins (Amino acids) are vital chemical process sustain life and essential for every living being from tiniest microbe to human being. [1] Amino acids are enormously efficient and versatile nutrients that they act as fuel to body, precursor of neurotransmitter act as antiviral substance and even as immune system. [2]
There are approximately 28 commonly named amino acids. These amino acids are combined together in variety of fashion to create hundred of different proteins. In human body these, protein substances make up bones, ligaments, tendons, organs, hair, nail and many vital body fluid including blood. [1]
Of these 28 amino acids, 80 percent are produced by liver while remaining 20 percent must be obtained from diet. They are renowned as essential amino acid. While others are non essential, non essential doesn’t mean that our body doesn’t mean them or they are unnecessary but it means that they are not needed by diet as they are preparing in the body. [1]
It is also evident that non essential amino acids may become essential. Many factors contribute to the deficiencies of amino acids other than lack of balanced diet e.g. impaired absorption, infection, trauma, stress, drug use and age. [1]
If your diet is not proper mean you have lack of one or more amino acid you will become apparent with any of physical condition or disorder, sooner or later. [1]
Most amino acids are in two configurations L or D form. L form is more compatible to living protein and hence are useful when taken as dietary supplements. [1]
Some important amino acids with their health benefits are mention here;
our entire range of Amino Acids
L Alanine
L Alanine may guard against the buildup of toxic substance in muscles, promotes removal of toxic substances from liver, night time low blood sugar level and endows energy. [1]
L Arginine
- The most important impact of on L-arginine is its positive effects on sexual function, this amino acid may have beneficial effect to make erection easier to achieve. [2] It also provides its effects to enhance male fertility. [2, 3, 4, 5]
- Arginine may provides immune support. [2,4]
- L Arginine shows favorable effect during longstanding problems by enhancing immune function [1, 5] and it also helps for those suffering from problem related to deficient immune system. [1] L Arginine may also speeds up healing of daily wounds. [2,4]
- Arginine may also be helpful in a condition that some women suffer from overt illness of bladder. [2]
- L arginine may also reduce harmful effects on body produce by attack of germs. [1, 4]
- It is supportive to liver health. [1]
- Arginine may also helpful for muscle metabolism. [1]
- It assists to stimulate the pancreas to release insulin, also support activity of growth hormone. [1]
- It can be good for bone, joint, connective tissue as it helps in building of them. [1]
Deficiency of L-Arginine leads to liver diseases, [2] hair loss, [2] constipation [2] and slow healing of wounds. [2]
L Carnitine
- L carnitine is proficient to fabricate energy at cellular level; because of this ability health conscious people use it in every field of life and it becomes one of the most popular and useful dietary supplement now a days. [4]
- The use of L carnitine may also show some promise in a controlled trail of male infertility to improve sperm quality. [6]
- Like surf and turf, athletes and L-carnitine is complement to each other. It is unquestionable that it provides support the energy reserve during longer, harder and greater exercise. [2, 4, 9]
- L carnitine also shows it favorable effect on heart, [7, 8] muscles health [7, 9] as well as during fat reduction.[7]
- L carnitine is also effective during respiratory problem, [8] gum and teeth problem, [8] ear problems, [8] high blood pressure [8] and bone and joint health. [8]
L Lysine
- L lysine is considered valuable for proper growth and development in children, production of antibodies, hormones and enzymes. [1]
- Use of L lysine also provides beneficial effects during collagen formation [1, 7, 9] and tissue repair. [1]
- Its support healthy digestion, promotes liver health, improves memory and also may reduce fatigue. [4]
- L lysine also shows beneficial effects to synthesize muscle protein, [1] may improve recovery from surgery [1] and sports injury [1, 4] and also lowers high triglyceride levels of blood. [1, 4]
- L lysine is also recommended for illness produce by germs, [1, 3, 10, 11, 12] exaggerated response of immune system of body, [12] inflammation or soreness of organs that include stomach intestine, [12] bone and joints [12] and blood vessels. [12]
- It is an important amino acid and may found to be effective for health of blood vessels [7,9] and connective tissue [7]
- L lysine also shows beneficial effect during respiratory problem, [8] gum and teeth problem, [8] ear problems, [8] high blood pressure [8] and bone and joint health. [8]
L Methionine
- L Methionine is an antioxidant that helps to overcome free radical damage. It may maintain blood flow to kidney, heart and provides support to liver health, skin and digestive system. [1]
- Use of L methionine gives beneficial effects on brittle hair and good for people with bone and joint degenerative problems. [1]
- L methionine is also supportive during pregnancy. [1]
Valine
Valine is an essential amino acid that is found in good amount in muscle, good for tissue health and also beneficial for liver and gallbladder health. [1]
Phenylalanine
Phenylalanine is an amino acid found in brain in the form of neurotransmitter (dopamine and nor epinephrine). It has numerous health benefits related to central nervous system for example it may elevate mood of individual, supportive during pain, improves memory, learning, appetite and may also helpful in more severe health concerns of brain like memory loss and hallucination. Phenylalanine also gives its wholesome effects during bone and joint, menstrual problem and obesity. [1]
Cysteine
- Cysteine is a valuable amino acid that promotes elasticity of skin, [1] reduces radiation damage [1] and improves healing after surgery. [1]
- Cysteine also gives its beneficial effect during bone and joint problems, [1, 8] hardening of blood vessels, [1, 7] respiratory problems, [1, 8] and long standing problems. [1]
- Cysteine also gives its beneficial effect during bone and joint problems, [1, 8] hardening of blood vessels, [1, 7] respiratory problems, [1, 8] and long standing problems. [1]
- L carnitine is also effective during gum and teeth problem, [8] ear problems, [8] high blood pressure [8] and heart health. [7]
Aspartic Acid
Aspartic acid is also called as asparaginic acid and it is one of nonessential amino acids. [13] As aspartic acid increases stamina, it shows its beneficial effects during tiredness, despair and also on metabolism. Aspartic acid is also good for neural health and brain disorder. It also enhances the activity of immune supporting proteins. [1]
