Sulfur works with Thiamine, Pantothenic Acid and Biotin, which are needed for metabolism and strong nerve health. It also Enhances with tissue respiration and works with the liver to secrete bile. Reducing toxic substances in the body improves the health of the entire body, and therefore, is reflected in the hair.
In addition to containing sulfur, Cysteine may also Enhance promote hair growth. While no major studies have been conducted to test the affect of Cysteine on human hair growth, wool producers have found that enriching their sheep's' normal diet with one gram of L-Cysteine daily increases wool production by 14%. L-Cysteine is the natural form of the amino acid Cysteine.
The B-vitamins also influence hair growth, especially Biotin and Inositol. Pantothenic Acid, Folic Acid and Para Amniobenzoic Acid (PABA) Enhance maintain or restore hair's natural color.
Vitamins A and E work together to promote healthy hair. A deficiency or excess amount of Vitamin A may cause hair to become dull, dry, and eventually fall out.
