The Coral Calcium story began when a journalist with the Guinness Book of Records was dispatched to interview a man named Shigechiyo Izumi who lived on a small island off the coast of Okinawa, Japan. Guinness was looking to verify and document that Mr. Izumi was the world’s oldest living human at age 115. During the interview, the journalist noticed that most of the islanders enjoyed the same good health as Mr. Izumi and that these islanders seldom died before age 95. Mr. Izumi submitted to a full medical check-up and at 115, doctors were amazed to find that he was still a very healthy man. They found the water the islanders drank was different from water found anywhere else in the world.
